I get safety and security but that was not cool. I felt like this man was selectively picking women because I saw other women around me with bigger purses when he singled me out. Also, I saw many women with bigger purses than mine and even backpacks. I would have been early had it not been for that. Plus, I also missed the first band because of this. I had to walk back to my car to leave everything that I could and felt so uncomfortable and uneasy not being able to have a place to put my keys, my wallet, my phone and some lady items. Mind you, he did not measure it and he sent me away until I got rid of it. The venue states that purses must not exceed 5x9 and my purse was smaller than 5x9 and slim but he stated that it was not and told me that I could not enter with it. I loved the concert but their was one particular venue worker, he was older and not very nice who was picking on women regarding their purses. What a collectible, and a way to get more insider scoop on OneRepublic.

He let us listen to a few songs that OR has not released yet.they weren't even full songs yet. We had to track down our swag bags, although when we did, we got to meet Elliott - the nicest and most down to earth guy that travels with the band doing all things behind the scenes. It was impossible to get downtown that early, so we missed the private bar and drinks. We missed one email that detailed our need to get there uber early to fully engage in all that we paid for. The UltraVIP experience communication wasn't great, to be honest. They are so talented and deserve to be their own headliners. The other couple we invited were obsessed with them, and knew them over OR.
Zach, Brian, Brent and the rest playing violins, the cello, of course the piano - it was all such a great musical delight. They were blown away by all the songs Ryan has written by other artists, but also the musical talent of the entire band. We brought friends with us for the UltraVIP experience and it did not disappoint! One couple we took knew OneRepublic music, but did not fully appreciate the talent of Ryan and the band until they experienced it with us up close and personal on the 5th row. Nevertheless I love their music and probably always will - but at this very moment I doubt if I’ll go to another concert ever again. That’s why I hate "If I lose myself": It irrefutably marks the end of the show - period.Įspecially after 2 years of pandemic I simply expected more. Besides the fact that there’s no (or almost no) change in the ongoing tour’s set list (it’s all on YouTube) the shows are completely predictable and even Ryan’s interactions with the audience is pretty much the same every time - all he does is adding some more "f*cking’s" to his speeches :-/ (if you know that people are bringing their kids and Ryan being a father, too - I expect him to be aware that he’s a role model!). At least not if that leads to a huge gap in the repertoire of original 1R songs! Would have LOVED them to play Let’s hurt tonight or Kids or Run or Something I need or Better or The less I know or All the right moves or at least WEST COAST instead of Ryan’s personal projects. I can’t tell why he obviously thinks attending a OneRepublic’s concert means everyone also wants to hear what he once has written for Beyoncé, Leona Lewis, Ellie Goulding or the Jonas Bros. That said, the show was too short by far! They only played roughly an hour and a half - and about 20 minutes were just about Tedder showing off. The sound was perfect, the venue was quite alright, not too big and provided grandstands/seatings, the weather conditions couldn’t have been ANY better. Saw them again for the first time in 8 years and was extremely hyped! They’re undoubtedly one of the most perfect musicians you can ever enjoy playing live and Ryan Tedder’s voice is absolutely awesome and a pure delight to listen to.
